During January 2011, Liverpool City Council was delighted to work on a project with Endemol, Skillset and Liverpool John Moores University's Screen School on a project to create alternative films about the World Heritage Site:
Finding Liverpool
Finding Liverpool is a short promotional film which showcases Liverpool - World Heritage City. It captures the essence and the assets of the World Heritage Site, with a light touch of humour!
The film illustrates how the future of Liverpool is rooted firmly in its maritime past and how the city's maritime heritage is inseparable from its musical and sporting heritage.
Produced by James Duffett, Lynsey Jeffries and Jonny Young.
Investing in Heritage
Investing in Heritage is a short film which explores the wide-ranging benefits of investing in the built cultural heritage Liverpool - World Heritage City.
The film makes a compelling case for investing in Liverpool's heritage for sound business reasons and for sustainability reasons, as well as to protect the city's unique spirit of place.
It includes interviews with developers, businessmen and property owners, as well as the director of National Museums Liverpool and the director of the Institute of Cultural Capital.
Produced by Karl Dixon, Claire Guest and Adetoro Rotilu.
