ICOMOS and ICOMOS-UK

International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), is a non-governmental organisation whose mandate is the world's cultural heritage. Icomos is the advisory body to UNESCO World Heritage Committee, providing advice on nomination and State of Conservation Reports.

ICOMOS-UK aims to be the lead voice in the UK for the world's cultural heritage and it provides a forum for all those involved in the conservation of cultural heritage. Liverpool City Council is a member of ICOMOS-UK.

ICOMOS-UK holds occasional meetings for World Heritage Co-ordinators to assist in the development of best practice in the management of World Heritage Sites.
