Supporting organisations
There are national and international governing organisations that are involved with the management of the Liverpool World Heritage site and the legislation that it must observe.
In this section you can read about the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage which is a legally binding document written to ensure the protection of all sites.
You can also learn more about the role of The Local Authority World Heritage Forum (LAWF) the UK based body which exists to support local authorities that have a all or part of a World Heritage site within their boundary.
In addition, ICOMOS-UK provides a forum for all those involved in the conservation of cultural heritage.
