Visitor Management Plan

The main responsibility for visitor management within the Site rests with the Liverpool Culture Company, The Mersey Partnership and National Museums Liverpool, although many others have strong interests. 

The WHS Visitor Management Plan was produced in April 2005. The Plan made specific recommendations for making the most of World Heritage status in:

  • Attracting visitors to Liverpool.
  • Increasing engagement and understanding.
  • Improving physical access and linkages.
  • Providing ancillary visitor services.
  • Managing the impacts of visitors.
  • Monitoring and evaluation.
